Embracing Spiritual Love: Building Harmony and Resilience in the Brahmin Family Friday 7th June 2024

Baba places great emphasis on having spiritual love for one another. Let there not be any disharmony for any reason. Baba referred to this as milk and honey as opposed to salty water. We would all like to have that kind of relationship. 

Any institution or an organisation that has a mission of giving is in a strong position and members are more likely to have harmony amongst them. Here, the Brahmin family has a very high purpose. There is no personal agenda. No-one expects anything on a personal level, for example, friendship, company, etc. All of that is begging. Everyone greatly appreciates being able to work on a great and noble task. The Brahmin family may offer a great deal but, in order to reduce our expectations to zero, we do not take it for granted that the goodwill will be there forever. The family without a culture of taking is a very strong unit, hence can expect a lower likelihood of salt water down the line. 

 Alternatively, they can all feel that they are hard done by. Then bondage is created, expectations are created, dependency is created, and they experience disappointment. On an individual level, things will come your way from others but they are coming to settle the account. That is good because the account is settled and you remain light about it. There is no injustice. Everything is fair at every level. 

 Dadi Gulzar once said that you will get tests from the lokik world, then you will get tests from Brahmins. After that, you will get tests from the brahmin teachers, the seniors. Then you will get tests from the very senior Brahmins. She said that we all have to go through this and we all have to pass. Know beforehand that these tests will come, that there is no logic behind them and that there is nothing wrong with being tested. The Drama is like that and you are here to understand the significance behind it. At best, it is helping you to pass an examination, to become free from any expectations. Check if your foundation is strong and just carry on. 

 Nothing stops you from your own personal progress and your true service. True service is done through the mind and the heart. Nothing can stop you. She said that we have to pass all of these tests and that everyone has to go through these tests. No-one is exempt. If you want to get a higher qualification, then tests are necessary. 

 When our positioning is of a student, who wants to grow, there are no resentments. We are able to transform what appears to be a hostile situation into something positive. Hence authentic harmony is maintained and love experienced. It has to be true love. Pretence of love will not lead to harmony. 

Baba also spoke about the last thought. What should your last thought be? If you have a desire for something and you are to leave the body, you will think of what you desired and you will die of disappointment. However, if you get what you desire, then your last thought will be of having lost what you found. We need to know that it is a sinking boat and that we don’t need anything from a sinking boat. Whatever is around, you are using them for the rescue task. Your attainments and treasures are alokik and full. That is why you come here without any needs, desires or feelings of desperation for the party. Then the last thought will be of alokik attainments rather than of desires over here.
